Bacon and Chocolate is a big deal I guess? Before going vegan, I never really got bacon. Now, being around sweet food all day, if you give me something savory I will devour it. When I heard that Mean Vegan Products had finally nailed their vegan version of Bacon I had to try it. And of course, I had to cover it in chocolate.
I havent had bacon in over 7 years. But the smell is dead on. And the flavor and texture is waaaaaaaay more convincing than the tofu or wheat based bacons out there. I guess they've fooled unsuspecting meat eaters into eating it, and scared die hard vegans into thinking it was the real deal.
Anyway, the savory, salty, fattyness of it is amazing with the creaminess and subtle sweetness of my re-worked mylk chocolate. The combination is extremely decadent, but won't leave you feeling disgusting like it's non-vegan counterpart.
